ART& FAMILY

How I became WHO I AM today?

I was born in 1968 in Budapest. Our family has always been close to arts, my mother is an actress, my father is a Radio – TV reporter, presenter, journalist.
Looking back on a couple of generations, our family contained opera singers, actresses, internationally renowned athlete, several doctors and applied artist. I would like to highlight my pianist grandmother, who introduced me to the world of music and was also my spiritual teacher.
As a result, I grew up among famous people, the art world, musicians, actors and this became my natural atmosphere.

In my childhood, in addition to music, I was already interested in science, technology and fine arts. I painted a lot, drew, studied music (piano, singing) but I mostly wanted to become a doctor.
When I was 10, I got my first camera. This changed everything. It was a small soviet manual camera, if I wanted to use it I had to learn the basics of photography. I learned these from books and fortunately, there is an enthusiastic hobby photographer in the family whom personally helped a lot. By the age of 11, I already knew what ISO, aperture, shutter speed and focus were. I was never interested in “amateur” photography. Even then, I set up my toys, puppets, cars and photographed them. I enjoyed that a lot.

I no longer wanted to be a doctor in high school. At that time with my best friend we spent all of our time with electronic music. We decided to form a band. Our scientific and technical interest is predestined to reach for analog synths, samplers and computers.

ARS POETICA

In other words, a few sentences about art and science.

In parallel with my applied works, I have been making free works of art for a long time according to my own ideas. My favourite theme is the beauty, anatomy of the female body and the indirect formulation of erotic vibe. I like to mix the classic vision with the bizarre, the romantic with the scientific, and so on. I like to ask questions, I like to stir up stagnant water. Perhaps the same can be said for my Ars Poetica.

Today, I am becoming more and more interested in experimental video art, the connection, the bridge between still and moving images, since motion pictures are just a sequence of still images.
My passion for computers are also related to this. This wonderful tool “grew up with me”, becoming a defining tool for many branches of art, from music to the fine arts to filmmaking.
I can say for my generation and myself that we are fortunate that we had the chance to witness the birth and spread of the personal computer. When we first met, we only entrusted it with the MIDI control of the sound studio, today it has taken over the role of the film camera and lab … and is still a teenager.
My Ars Poetica is maximalism in the applied works, maintaining the artistic standards while serving the needs of the client. My role model – it’s not a good expression – I am the greatest admirer of Leonardo Da Vinci who has shown that art is science and science is art above a certain level. Isaac Newton, Thomas Edison, Albert Einstein or Nikola Tesla can be said to be at least as much an artist as a scientist, because whatever they left to us has forever changed thinking and opened new ways for all of humanity.

GRATITUDE AND THANKS

This is always the hardest part because someone is always lagging behind and not only do I hate it, because of the insult, but it really hurts for me to miss someone who has added to my work.

You have to think back here for many years. It’s hard. It’s impossible.

This way let me say thanks to YOU !  I’m sure if it is you, you know it !

In addition, I would to give a special thanks to the models who took the time and effort to participate in my creative work but unfortunately there are no tangible results (apparentely) / (yet) have been achieved. There is a chance that there won’t even be…However, they need to know that working with them is still an essential part of everything that is created.

Thank you!
